Following Jesus

What Does it Mean to Follow Jesus?

Following Jesus begins when we respond to his call to repent and believe the gospel. The Good News that God loves us and has taken the initiative to reconcile us to himself by giving his Son to atone for our sins awakens us to God’s grace.

You can begin your journey with Jesus by admitting you are a sinner: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23

Believing Jesus died for you: "But God shows His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

Choosing to accept God's gift of salvation: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9
